You outgrew Zapier. Have it built properly.
No-code tools are great until the workflow gets real. Zaps turn brittle, per-task pricing climbs, there is no one to check the work, and the logic lives inside someone else’s template. We build the same outcome as a custom system tailored to your workflow, with a verifier on every write and a dashboard your team runs. We build on n8n where that fits, or custom where it does not.
Signs you have outgrown no-code
If any of these sound familiar, a build usually pays for itself:
- A zap breaks quietly and you find out from a customer.
- The task bill climbs every month as volume grows.
- There is no verification step, so bad data flows straight through.
- The workflow needs judgment a template cannot express.
- Nobody on the team fully understands the tangle of zaps anymore.
What a custom build gets you
Reliability that does not depend on a chain of third-party triggers, a verifier that re-checks the live record before any write, a real dashboard your team uses instead of a maze of scenarios, and logic you own rather than rent. It runs on your own accounts, so usage is billed to you at cost instead of marked up per task.
We build on your tools, or replace them
If n8n or a no-code layer is the right fit for part of the job, we use it and wrap it in the checks and interface it lacks. Where it is the wrong fit, we build custom. Either way you get one system, maintained, with a kill switch you hold. Migrating off a pile of zaps is part of the build.
Questions
- Do you replace Zapier and n8n, or build on them?
- Both, depending on the job. Where a no-code layer fits, we use it and add the verification and dashboard it lacks. Where it does not, we build custom. You end up with one maintained system.
- Why not just add more zaps?
- Past a certain complexity, more zaps means more brittle triggers, higher per-task cost, and no one who understands the whole thing. A built system is reliable, checked, and owned.
- Is custom more expensive than a subscription?
- It is a fixed build price plus a monthly run fee, and usage runs on your own accounts at cost rather than marked up per task. For real volume it usually costs less over a year, and it does not break at the worst moment.
- What about the AI and API costs?
- Those run on your own accounts and are billed to you directly at cost, so you always see exactly what the automation uses. They sit outside the build and run fees.
- How long does it take?
- Most first workflows are live in two to six weeks, including migrating the zaps you are replacing.

Thirty minutes on the first call. If I cannot automate it well, I say so.
